What to stuff a black knit stuffed animal with?

Hi, I am knitting some stuffed animals for friends kids, and I have white stuffing for the light colored yarns, but I want to make some out of black and dark purple yarn and the white stuffing may show thru more than I want it to. I have learned that it is difficult/impossible to dye polyester stuffing, so I'm not sure what to use or do. Any suggestions? Thanks!

If you havent made the animals yet, try using smaller needles to decrease the size of the spaces in the stitches. This will affect the size of your finished product and your gauge, but if you are an experienced knitter you should be able to adjust accordingly.

Since knitted fabric is stretchy, be careful stuffing your items. The more you stuff, the more likely your stuffing is to show through your fabric.

If you have already made the animals or you can't use smaller needles for some reason, lining the projects as other posters suggested is your best bet for a quick fix.
